Disney is shutting down the desktop version of Club Penguin today. Of course, this was bound to happen eventually, as the game is nowhere near as popular and successful as it once was, but now that it’s actually happening, it really does make me quite sad. I know this is a cliche thing to say, but Club Penguin is more than just a game to me. I’ve been involved with it in some capacity for over a decade now. I literally grew from a kid to an adult, and while many things in my life changed over that time, Club Penguin was always there.
One night in December of 2006, my best friend, Bluemoss2, called me on my family’s landline phone and told me about Club Penguin. Over the phone, I signed up and created Lorenzo Bean, and he showed me around, helping me find the Campfire Pin at the Ski Lodge. We also attempted to find Rockhopper, since he was on the island at the time. From then on, we would often log on and talk over the phone while playing Cart Surfer, Ice Fishing, and Sled Racing against each other. Back then, the chat filters were much less strict, so it was very easy to communicate and make several friends. The social aspect was really what kept me playing. I was, and still am a very reserved person in real life, so Club Penguin was an easy way for me to connect and bond with others. To this day I believe that relationships you build online are just as important and valuable as the ones you develop in person.
LBX Club Penguin Cheats is the longest running Club Penguin news site ever at over 9 years old, and even though it only has 300,000 views, it’s one of my proudest results of playing Club Penguin. It wouldn’t have been possible without the help of Bluemoss2, Mchappy, Zuke, and Kyle103, so thank you to those guys for helping keep the site updated when I couldn’t.
I’ve also probably spent a few thousand hours on Club Penguin armies, most notably the Ice Warriors, Army of Club Penguin, and Golds. I’m not even sure what to say about this anymore, I mean I was involved with armies for almost their entire existence, and witnessed most of the major developments there. I made countless friends and just had an incredible time, especially earlier on, because of Club Penguin armies.
Anyways, I don’t want this post to drag on too long, so I will end it here. Club Penguin is something that I grew up alongside, and represents the times in my life where I didn’t have to worry about anything except having fun and being with friends, and that’s why it’s sad that I will never be able to log on to the real game again for the sake of nostalgia.
If anyone is interested, there is a very well-made new private server for Club Penguin called Club Penguin Rewritten, which is basically a restored version of Club Penguin as it was in 2009. It has a pretty dedicated team who will keep it updated; they’re even going to be putting the old parties into the game.
Here’s a farewell video I made with Bluemoss2:
Thank you all for supporting this site over the years. I will never delete this site for the sake of history and the memories.
Goodbye, my friends
Hello, all, it has been several months since I’ve even thought about posting on this site. Zuke and I are proud to announce that we will be returning to work on LBX Club Penguin. I realize there aren’t so many Club Penguin updates any more, but we will do our absolute best to bring our viewers great content. Club Penguin cheats/news sites are pretty much entirely dead now, but this one will continue on as long as possible. Stay tuned for more posts!

Less than a year after laying off more than 60 employees, Club Penguin has decided to let go of 28 more. The same way that happens when we lost Polo Field, and due to the layoffs, we’ve lost fourmore of Club Penguin’s bloggers: Daffodaily5 from the English blog, Karlapop321 from the Spanish blog, Koa Koralle from the German blog, and Loustik005 from the French blog last year ago, and now this.
The 28 figure is confirmed, however according to Castanet, a news website for Kelowna and the surrounding areas, a source told them that 28 is the exact number. The article also mentions that it’s possible that more employees will be let go from the California office, as the 28 employees let go on Friday are all from Canada.
Another news website, TechVibes, has a bit more information, albeit unconfirmed. It says that employees from different sections such as QA, programming, and even the art team were let go.
While I’m skeptical about their source of this information, the TechVibes article also states that the employees were let go as Club Penguin no longer needs many people from their 2D team as they are moving towards the 3D version of Club Penguin, which we know as Project Super Secret. The article also goes as far as claiming that PSS will be mobile only. Of course, this is all unconfirmed, and thus I suggest treating it with scepticism for the time begin.
Bye for now,
Last week Spike Hike posted on Club Penguin’s blog letting us know that a new Disney app was on the way and that it was the first part of Project Super Secret. Shortly after Megg posted a video about it. Currently the app is only available in Australia and New Zealand, however anyone can get it with a simple trick.
Here is the blog post and video:
A couple days ago, Spike Hike announced that we’d be releasing a new app in Australia and New Zealand to try out! There were tons of great guesses as to what the app might be – are you ready to find out what it is?!
Are you sure?

Bye for now,
I emailed the Club Penguin Support about the throwback party called St. Patrick Day Party that was being held at the Puffle Party back in 2012, the last time it was around. I was hoping for them to have a throwback party since there will be a Puffle Party this March too. Click on read more to see what they said to me.
The third and final week of Herbert’s plans are now here, and it’s time for us to put a stop to them! Click read more for walk-through, messages, new items, and secret room!
